WORD PLAY
The typeface designed for ‘Play' @ The Rotating Gallery’s promotional material pays homage to the appeal of children's fridge magnets. With it’s rounded characters and heavy stroke the type makes for a confident, yet approachable, display face. The elongated descenders dictate an unusual approach to typesetting encouraging the user to adopt a playful aesthetic. Whilst well employed as a display face, when used with a lighter stroke weight the characters show a more whimsical expression.
